High Layer count Nakiri
This nakiri is crafted from used bandsaw blades and 1095 steel, the bar started out as around 45 layers and then drawn out and folded over bringing the layer count to 90 layers. The blade was lightly etched in ferric chloride to bring out the layers and then polished to make it a bit more of a subdued look. The handle is constructed of macassar ebony hardwood, and then a pink resin bolster and topped with a grey cap. Everything was given a light coating of axe wax to protect the knife in transit to the end user.
